Better late than never?!...
We flew home to Utah for Christmas! Reese did great on the plane. {Thank you iPad!}
When we got into town we had a Christmas Party with my mom's side of the family. It was nice to see so many of my relatives I haven't seen some in years!
We took this picture of our cute girls
{Reese (1.5 yrs), Jordyn (2 yrs) & Lexie (3.5 yrs)}
We realized we took the same picture last year. We will have to do this every year!
What a difference a year makes.
When we left Arizona Reese had just finished a second round of antibiotics for an ear infection she got around Thanksgiving. We assumed after two rounds it was gone! But as soon as we got to Utah, she had a horrible runny nose, was super tired/grumpy/whiny & had horrible fevers!
Of course she gets worse on a weekend & of course it's Christmas weekend. We could keep her fevers down with medicine & she was surprisingly happy during the day. {Nights were another story...}
Being sick & not sleeping didn't stop Reese from running around the house with Jordyn! She was in heaven playing with all J's toys!
Christmas morning Reese helped Jordyn open her presents. We didn't want to worry about flying with presents, we just had a couple things for Reese to open one of which was this unicorn blanket jon is playing with.
Reading a book with Gma Vicki.
Cort & Bry brought over Rock Band. We had never played...oh, did we play. Super fun!
The day after Christmas we took Reese to her old Dr. Bless him! He got us right in & said that reese had a bad double ear infection!!! We tried one more round of antibiotics=3 shots in 3 days. So the rest of the week was spent going back and forth to the doctor & trying to keep her fevers down. She was only sleeping like 3-5 hours a night...it was rough!
After 3 days her ears still looked awful! SO...tubes was the only option left. It was Friday & we had to wait until Monday morning to get her surgery. We were so happy to get her in that soon!!! So more sleepless nights until...
It only took like 10 minutes for the procedure! She was so mad coming out of the surgery & waking up...yikes! But within a day or two she was sooo much happier!
Reese loved playing dress up & wearing J's princess shoes!
After the surgery we both finally got some much needed sleep!!!!
We spent our last two nights at Gpa Jays & Gma Jody's. Reese slept for 13 hours both nights! YAY! We were so glad she was feeling better!
Reese LOVED playing with Gmas puppies!!!
At the airport she was hyper & so happy! We were so glad to have our REESE back from sick & infections! Lets hope the tubes work their magic & we don't have to deal with ear infections again!!
She was cracking us up at the airport...
It was a stressful trip, but we are just so glad that reese got her surgery from a wonderful doctor if nothing else! We were blessed to have the connections we did to get it done so quickly. We were again very sad to not be able to see family & friends more than we got too! We love you all!
