The day after we got home from Utah we got to go have a 3D ultrasound to see our baby boy...
It was fun. I didn't have one with Reese & this little man cooperated perfectly so we could get some cool pictures. I already think he looks like Reese! He has the same nose & chin as her. I am 29 weeks here. He was measuring a little big here...well a little fat and a little short! :)
Then the biggest ordeal of the summer was upon us...we potty trained Reese! It was the longest weekend of my life! I am not kidding. And she did great too! Day one we went through 9 or so pairs of undies. Day two we only had 5 accidents. Day three we were down to 3. She did a great job and picked up on it well. Even at night & during nap time she has done really great & we only had to wash & change her sheets a handful of times!
She still is not the best at always telling us she has to go & we still have accidents here & there, but it has been really nice to know I will only have one in diapers when the baby gets here.
For the most part this summer we have just been playing, relaxing, working on projects & getting ready for this baby boy to join us!
Reese loves her little library! She picks books and reads them then stacks them up on the table & goes to choose another book. While trying to decide which book to read next she often taps her finger on her cheek and says "hmmm" or she hums a little tune to herself. It's adorable.
I made a bunch of onsies & burp cloths.
This is a picture of Reese with a potty chart she earned all her stickers and got a prize.
And it also is another project! Jon bought that dresser off of craigslist and refinished it. He is amazing & it turned out so awesome! We love it!
Dr. Reese
Her imagination is amazing. She is so fun lately! She is giving jon a check-up. Which she continued to do for almost an hour.
We really haven't been to the pool that much this summer. With Reese newly potty trained & me in my very much pregnant state...we've only been a handful of times. But when we do go she loves it! She likes to just float around all by herself.
It took her a good half hour before she felt brave enough to jump. It was rather crowded, so she stuck to the edges & only jumped on the colored parts of the place for a while. Then she finally started to jump on the trampoline part but she would just go straight across from the orange pads to the yellow pads. Such a cautious and timid girl somedays!
AZ Baby Shower!
We really have been so blessed to find such wonderful, kind, loving & fun friends out here! Some of my girlfriends threw me a baby shower last week! It was simple and DARLING! We love just getting together to enjoy yummy food & some good ol' girl talk.
The baby's nursery is decorated with robots...so they did a cute robot baby shower!
Visit from Gma & Gpa!
Jon's mom & dad came down for a quick visit last week. It was so nice to have them here! Reese LOVED it! We went out to dinner, went to the movies, played, colored, read books, got ice cream & were happy just to have time with them.
They just got their mission call a few weeks ago and will be serving in the Kiev Ukraine Mission for 18 months. They will leave in January. They are already working hard to learn Russian! They are going to be amazing missionaries!
We are so thankful for them & their kindness & their examples in out lives!
Reese doesn't like to hold hands!
But she held Gpa's EVERY chance she got while he was here.
It was so sweet!!!!
