I usually try to wait until December to get the tree out. But this year, Jon had time and we just went for it as we ate Thanksgiving pie. Reese loves it. She is getting old enough now and understands so much more what is going on. We are excited to get to start more traditions this year and have that magic of Santa in the house!
Went with some friends to the Anthem train park. We love having family time and have been blessed with lots of student friends with kids and have so much fun hanging out and playing together.
Reese asked hold Jens. He obviously wasn't into it. She tried to shhhh him, but when it didn't work she tried playing the drums on his belly then gave up and rolled him away!
This kid has been sleeping 10-11 hours a night! Hallelujah! Early Christmas present? I'll take that! (I love this shirt. He is a 2013 baby...could that face be any chubbier?)
Reese has been asking to use my makeup lots lately when we are in the bathroom getting ready for the day. So I took some of my old empty containers & painted some color in them to look like makeup. She loves copying and being like her mama!
Ugh, look like Jensen is also going to get ear infections, just like reese did. Poor guy has a double ear infection! Honestly, he is such a champ & still so content and sweet during the day. Its only at night when he really shows that he is upset and tired and just wants to sleep!
This sweet Wal-Mart greeter made Reese's & my day! He stopped us on our way out the door to wish us a Merry Christmas & take an extra few minutes to talk to Reese and answer Santa Clause questions. I love the kindest of strangers!
Lately when we put Reese to bed, within two minutes of closing her door she turns her light back on and plays for a few minutes. She is quiet, content, & usually in her bed and asleep with in 20 minutes anyway. So we just turn her light off on our way to bed. One night Jon found her in her own cozy bed she made on the floor.
Just a little quick pic before heading off to church...these kids are adorable! Love them so much!
Who doesn't love bubbles?
Growing up we had several Christmas advent/countdowns. I always loved taking away or adding the special little ornaments or trinkets as the anticipation of Christmas day grew close and closer. My mom gave each of us kids one of our childhood advents. I showed Reese how to use ours. She of course picked up on it in no time. The first thing she did every morning was add another ornament to our special tree.
Had to take a picture of Jensen in the Santa hat by the tree for his Baby's First Christmas ornament.
Gma Vicki came out to AZ to stay with us for Christmas! We had lots of fun playing and enjoying the amazing winter weather. We made and decorated Christmas sugar cookies one day. Gma also brought a really fun snowman craft to make with Reese. Reese loves making anything arts and crafty...wonder where that trait came from?!
What better way to spend Christmas Eve than at the park? We went on a nice walk and are loving having lots of attention from both dad and Gma!

Reese asked for this year was "pink presents"this year! Never anything specific. She just wanted pink presents. So even though that wrapping paper looks red, it was in fact pink wrapping paper. When she came out Christmas morning, I thought she would want to rip open presents. But instead, she saw the 3 new books that Santa brought, sat right down, looked at every page, opened every flap, it was too cute! Then we began the present opening!
Jensen & daddy opening presents!
Reese got a balance bike. She's our cautious girl, and a little nervous and wobbly on the bike.
Got Reese some play food for her play kitchen. When she saw it, she made us look at each food item, name it, and pretend to eat it!
