Reese is 11 months old!
Taking her picture while lying down was dang near impossible...because she can finally crawl!!! Now that she has experienced life as a mobile baby she rarely stays in one place for longer than 1 minute. It took just shy of 11 months to get those four limbs working together all at once, but this girl can move...fast! She had been getting up on all fours for a while but had never moved forward. She would just rock back & forth. Then one night out of nowhere she just started crawling.
Everywhere Reese & I go people are always telling me that she looks just like me. Here is a side by side of Reese & her daddy as a baby. We both think she looks just like him! I am so glad she inherited those brown eyes!!!! She does look like me a little too but not like my baby pictures.
*notice my mug in the background...it goes where i go...it's kinda like my shadow or my BFF.
She LOVES books. (Good thing too...her mama collected a rather large stash of books during 6 years of teaching 1st grade.) She will sit our laps or on her own & look at books for hours! She loves to turn the pages, study the pictures & give the book an occasional lick/taste. On a low shelf in the living room there is a stack of her books. She pulls them off the shelf & I put them back on the shelf at least 5 times a day.
Reese loves playing with her daddy. They chase each other around on the floor, play peek a boo, watch sesame street & eat baby snacks together.
-She is starting to say a few things! If she drops something she will say "oh" as in "uh-oh".
-When we read a puppy books she will repeat "woof" after we say it. We are still working on the growl, she just yells instead.
-She says "yea and yeah" all the time too.
-Reese jabbers constantly. If there is music on she lengthens her jabbering so more of a song like word...I think she is going to love to sing!
-She still loves to wave and clap any chance she gets.
-She loves to eat! We have been giving her more table food. She likes everything we give her!
-She is starting to pull her self up on some furniture, she only gets up to her knees though.
-She will hold up a blanket or a rag & play "peek-a-boo"
-She is the best napper! I can just put her in her crib at nap time, walk away & she will go to sleep. (usually!) So thankful for that! She is still taking two naps a day.
-She loves to be outside. We go on long walks & she NEVER has cried or even whined.
-When we shake our heads and tell her "no". She shakes her head back at us. She yells & shakes her fists at us if we take things from her.
We LOVE this girl. It has been so fun to see more of her personality over that past few months.

Oh what a cutie! I love that she shakes her head at you too! She's going to have some spunk!
Yay for crawling! It can be a pain sometimes but it's nice how much longer they entertain themselves.
And I agree, she looks just like Jon. She has your exact coloring though so you can definitely tell she's yours.
She's sure a cutie! Be glad she didn't start crawling for awhile. Now that she can move, she'll never stop!
